Joshua Tree Rock Climbing with Joshua Tree's Uprising Adventure Guides and Rock Climbing School will be an experience of a lifetime. Our rock climbing classes, seminars and private rock climbing instruction are given by rock climbing guides who have dedicated their lives to teaching people how to climb. We can teach rock climbing techniques at every rating and ability level. In addition to Joshua Tree, we give professional rock climbing instruction in Idyllwild (Tahquitz rock) and Big Bear. We provide all rock climbing equipment and shoes.
We listen to our clients about what they want from their day of climbing so we can match them with the right rock climbing guide or instructor. Our guides and instructors are committed to your experience and know that it is important to feel confident and comfortable with the person you are climbing with. Whether you are a beginning rock climber or an experienced veteran, we can match you with the right guide and tailor your day based on your desired outcome, experience and goals. Working individually or in a small group with a private guide is the fastest way to realize your climbing goals and improve your technique. You tell us what you want from your day and we will tailor it specifically to meet your needs. Private guiding is offered 7 days a week and can be scheduled to meet your agenda.

When your schedule is too tight for a full day or you just want to give climbing a try, then our half and ¾ days are for you. All half and ¾ days are taught by the same guides who do our full days so you’ll get the same personal attention and fun on the rocks.

Boy Scout & Youth Programs
Uprising Adventure guides are certified Merit Badge Counselors for Boys and Girls scout merit badges and electives. Bring your troop out for a day of learning and adventure! Reservations and tour permits are required for all programs.

American Mountain Guides Association
The American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Top Rope Site Management Course is the first course in the AMGA sequence of climbing instructor and guide training programs. The forty hour course is intended to help transition already capable recreational climbers into climbing instructors.
